If you have the intention and desire to work as a firefighter in a professional fire brigade in the Republic of Croatia, after graduating from high school, it is necessary to enroll in the State FireFighting School.
At the State Fire Fighting School in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek, a program of retraining for the profession of Firefighter and for the profession of Firetechnician lasts for a year. The difference is that retraining for the profession of Firefighter can be enrolled by people who have completed a three-year high school and a four-year high school.
Education for the profession "Fire technician"
Retraining for the profession Fire technician can only be enrolled by people who have completed a four-year high school. Trainees must be under the age of 29, as people can be employed as firefighters for the first time provided they are under the age of 30.
